Duroxite® overlay welding consumables for production and maintenance
Duroxite® welding consumables come as both wire and electrodes for a variety of welding needs. They are used for production of overlay parts, maintenance and repair work.

Duroxite® 100 Wire is used for hardfacing of equipment operating in sliding wear environments. The weld deposit contains abrasion-resistant materials composed of a high proportion of extremely hard primary M7C3 chromium-rich carbides.
Duroxite® 200 Wire is targeted at severe sliding wear environments. The highly resistant hardfacing layer contains hard complex carbides in a tough matrix. It performs exceptionally well when exposed to both fine and coarse abrasive materials.
The basic welding positions are flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead, with overhead welding being the most difficult. These positions are of course ideal simplifications. One often must deal with a more complicated mix of welding positions. Both Duroxite® AP Wire and Duroxite AP Electrode are designed to give high quality welds in all positions.
Duroxite® AP Wire gives a hardfacing layer with high resistance against metal-to-metal wear, metal-to-earth wear, impact and high abrasion environments. It can be deposited on carbon, low alloy, and manganese steels.
Duroxite® AP Electrode is a solid cored electrode with an extruded coating containing the alloy elements. It is designed for components experiencing metal-to-metal wear, metal-to-earth wear, impact and high abrasion. Duroxite® AP Electrode can be deposited on carbon, low alloy, and manganese steels.
Duroxite® Cr-Free Wire is suitable for overlay welding situations where it is difficult to protect the welder from the emission of hexavalent chromium smoke. The deposited overlay contains boron carbides with a wear resistance and hardness equal to or greater than conventional chromium carbide deposits.
Duroxite® 300 Wire is a flux-cored welding wire for hardfacing components subject to extremely severe sliding wear applications using an open-arc or gas shielded arc welding processes. It is suitable for single or double-layer deposit with both stringer and oscillation beads.
Duroxite® Roller Wire is a flux-cored welding wire for roller repair in the cement and power industries using an open-arc welding process. It is designed for refurbishing worn rollers with stringer bead welding. The wire is suitable for welding on curved surfaces, and it is feasible to deposit multiple layers up to 75mm (3’’) thick.
