The Strenx® range of high-strength structural steel tubes come in circular, square and rectangular shapes – even customized shapes are available upon request. Strenx® tubes have a superior strength to weight ratio for your high-performing equipment.
Advanced load-bearing structures in transportation, lifting and agriculture
High-strength hollow sections
Circular, square and rectangular
Strenx® Tubes are cold formed and welded structural hollow sections with minimum yield strengths of 700 MPa. They come in an extensive range of sizes and wall thicknesses. Use Strenx® Tubes in load-bearing structures to build stronger products that weigh less or to replace mild steel grades. And when you use Strenx®, you’ll get dimensionally consistent, workshop-friendly steel too.
Typical applications for Strenx® Tube 700MLH include load-bearing structures in lifting, material handling, transportation and agriculture, especially in conditions that require extremely high toughness.

Go to product pageStrenx® tubes can be welded using any conventional welding method. MAG welding is the most common technique today, since it is very easy to automate for high productivity.
Download welding brochureThe properties and fine surface finish of Strenx® tubes make it perfect for laser cutting. Strenx Tubes can also be thermal-cut with oxy-fuel flame and plasma. Since tubes are cold formed, they contain residual stresses. Proper design can control distortion when cutting. If distortion becomes a problem the tubes can be stress relief annealed.
Download thermal cutting brochureStrenx® Tubes can be sawed with the usual cutting tools. Compared with mild steel tubes, saw blade wear can be lower, since the low carbon equivalent prevents the longitudinal weld seam from hardening during welding.
Strenx® Tubes and Sections meet or exceed the tolerances of European standards: EN10219 for cold formed welded steel structural hollow sections and EN10210 for hot finished steel structural hollow sections.
