SSAB won prestigious steel industry award
The winners of the annual S&P Platts Global Metal Awards were announced yesterday at an event in London. SSAB was the winner of the category Industry Leadership: Steel.

The awards reveal much about the direction in which the industry is heading. The winners were selected by an impartial panel of experts with a background and experience that includes metals industry regulation, corporate leadership, leading researchers and international metals experts.

“This is an important honor for the whole of SSAB, as well as for the work we have done to develop fossil-free steel. An ability to innovate has always been one of SSAB’s core strengths and we are now showing the way to the entire steel industry,” sums up Eva Petursson, EVP or Research and Innovation, who accepted the award on behalf of SSAB.
