Public interest 		SSAB uses electronic security systems to monitor its facilities, to identify and address potential safety hazards, incidents or emergencies and to ensure a safe environment for individuals.
Supervision of proper operation of production processes Legitimate interest SSAB uses electronic security systems to ensure the efficient and correct functioning of production operations in order to identify and address i.e., operational issues, quality control, and production workflows.
Legal actions Legitimate interest SSAB may have to take legal action in connection with an incident and may process personal data collected by electronic security systems if it has judged that this interest outweighs the data subjects’ interest in protection of privacy.

The activities mentioned above are to ensure the safety of SSAB premises, employees, contractors and job applicants, to supervise the proper operation of production processes and for fulfilling other rights and obligations that SSAB has according to the local legislation.

SSAB does not use electronic security systems to monitor the behaviour of individuals, and SSAB complies with applicable guidelines and regulations on electronic security systems.
