Toolox® 46 Round Bars

Pre-hardened, precise, predictable steel, now in round bars

Download data sheet

General Product Description

Toolox® 46 round bar is a steel delivered already heat treated to a very high hardness.

The chemical composition is based on the succesful Toolox® 44 product but with a modified chemical composition making this a perfect choice for the most demanding hot work tooling applications. Despite the high hardness, machining can be carried out smoothly with normal carbide tooling.

If necessary the surface properties can be further enhanced with nitriding and PVD.

Dimension Range

Toolox® 46 round bars is available in diameters 151.0 - 353.0 mm.
